In "Violent Is the Word for Curly," the Stooges are left in charge of a gas station while the owner goes on a fishing trip. Their first customers are three famous European professors who are on their way to a women's college called Mildew to give a lecture series. The Stooges, being their usual clumsy selves, manage to accidentally blow up the professors' car.
Desperate to avoid getting into trouble, the Stooges steal the professors' clothes and disguise themselves as the famous academics. They proceed to the college, where they are mistaken for the professors and placed on the faculty.
Meanwhile, the real professors arrive at the college, only to find that their identities have been stolen. The Stooges try to convince a rich and influential member of the college's board of directors that the school needs an athletics program, rather than academics. They give a demonstration of their athletic prowess, which ends in disaster when the real professors slip them a nitroglycerin basketball.
Throughout the film, the Stooges engage in their trademark slapstick humor, with plenty of physical gags and one-liners that will delight fans of classic comedy. "Violent Is the Word for Curly" is a fun and mildly chaotic adventure that will keep viewers laughing from start to finish.
