Ennio (Stefan Sauk) is a middle-aged alcoholic and VHS collector who spends his days in his small apartment surrounded by piles of old video tapes. His only solace is watching these movies repeatedly, which offers a temporary escape from his miserable life. However, Ennio's fortunes take a turn when he discovers a rare copy of an obscure horror film that's worth a fortune in a collector's market. Ennio believes that this film is his ticket to financial freedom and sets out to sell it to the highest bidder.
However, when Ennio wakes up one morning, he discovers that the movie is missing. He suspects that someone has stolen the tape from him and is now trying to sell it themselves. Driven by desperation and anger, Ennio sets out to find the thief and retrieve his precious movie. In the process, he encounters a string of peculiar characters, including a mysterious woman named Simone (Lena Nilsson), who has a keen interest in old VHS tapes.
As Ennio delves deeper into the mystery, he begins to question his own sanity and struggles to keep his drinking under control. The closer he gets to uncovering the truth, the more dangerous the situation becomes. Will Ennio be able to find his film and save himself from his dire economic situation, or will his obsession with the past lead him down a path of self-destruction?
