In the movie, Vic is a young Viking who dreams of adventure and wants to prove himself to his father, Halvar, the chief of their village. However, Halvar sees Vic as too weak and fragile for the dangerous life of a Viking warrior.
One day, while exploring the forest, Vic and his friends come across a magical sword that belongs to Loki, the trickster god. When Vic accidentally uses the sword on his mother, Ylva, she is turned into a golden statue.
Halvar and his crew realize they must sail to the forges of Loki, located at the end of the world, to destroy the sword and save Ylva. Reluctantly, Halvar agrees to take Vic along on the drakkar.
During the journey, they encounter many challenges and obstacles, including sea monsters, treacherous weather, and fierce enemy warriors. Vic remains determined to prove himself and helps the crew overcome many of these challenges with his intelligence and bravery.
However, the biggest test comes when they finally reach the forges of Loki. Vic and Halvar must navigate the dangerous terrain and battle Loki's minions to reach the magical sword and destroy it.
In the end, Vic proves himself to be a true Viking and helps save his mother and his village from the dangers of Loki's sword. Halvar recognizes Vic's bravery and strength, and the two develop a deep bond as father and son.
