V/H/S is a found-footage horror anthology film that was released in 2012. The movie is directed by a group of filmmakers that includes David Bruckner, Ti West, Glenn McQuaid, Joe Swanberg, Adam Wingard, and Radio Silence. It features a wraparound story that ties together five individual short films, each directed by a different member of the directing team.

The movie follows a group of misfits who are hired by an unknown third party to break into a desolate house and steal a rare VHS tape. The thieves, who have been promised a large sum of money for their services, enter the home and begin searching for the tape. But as they watch the various recordings they find in the house, they begin to realize that they may be in over their heads.

The first short film in the anthology, "Amateur Night," follows a group of guys on a night out that takes a terrifying turn when they bring a mysterious woman back to their hotel room. The second short, "Second Honeymoon," follows a couple on a road trip who encounter a strange man while staying at a motel.

The third short, "Tuesday the 17th," follows a group of friends on a camping trip who are stalked by a killer who appears on camera as glitches in the footage. The fourth short, "The Sick Thing That Happened to Emily When She Was Younger," is presented as a series of video chats between a couple who suspect their apartment is haunted.

Finally, the fifth short, "10/31/98," follows a group of friends who stumble across a haunted house on Halloween night. As the various short films unfold, the thieves in the wraparound story begin to realize that the tape they are looking for may be cursed, and they soon find themselves fighting for their lives in a world of supernatural terror.
