Vampire's Kiss is a 1988 black comedy-horror film directed by Robert Bierman and starring Nicolas Cage. Cage plays Peter Loew, a successful publishing executive in New York City who is visited and bitten by a vampire (Jennifer Beals) during a one-night stand. After the encounter, Peter begins to exhibit erratic behavior and becomes convinced that he is turning into a vampire. He begins to wear fake vampire teeth and a black coat, and he starts to drink the blood of rats and pigeons.

Peter's behavior towards his secretary, Alva (Maria Conchita Alonso), becomes increasingly abusive as he tries to come to terms with his affliction. He becomes fixated on her and demands that she find a missing file for him, threatening to fire her if she doesn't. He also starts to see hallucinations of the vampire and other supernatural beings, which push him further into madness.

As Peter's madness deepens, he becomes more violent towards Alva and other people around him. He commits a string of bizarre and horrific acts, including breaking into Alva's apartment and terrorizing her, and attacking a woman in a disco.

In the end, it is revealed that Peter's experiences were not real, but rather a result of his deteriorating mental state. He is ultimately committed to a psychiatric hospital, where he continues to believe that he is a vampire. The film ends with him screaming and writhing on the floor as a group of doctors watch helplessly, unsure of how to help him.
