Vampire Burt's Serenade takes place in a seedy underworld where vampires, zombies, and humans coexist in a state of perpetual debauchery. Burt (played by Kevin Richardson of the Backstreet Boys) is a powerful vampire who leads a cult of obsessive groupies called the Fangs. But Burt is also haunted by his past, and plagued by existential questions about the meaning of his immortal existence.
Meanwhile, a mysterious zombie (played by a Zappa impersonator) has arrived in town with a mission to assassinate Burt. But his plans are complicated by his attraction to Burt's sultry lieutenant, a vampire named Lilith (played by independent film star Lisa Hammer). As the two factions collide, they leave a trail of destruction, blood, and funky music.
The film is directed by actor/musician Michael Mancini, who also co-stars as Burt's eccentric mentor. The score features original songs by Mancini and Hammer, blending genres like punk, funk, and metal with theatrical flair. The choreography is by celebrity dancer/choreographer Nakul Dev Mahajan, known for his work on "So You Think You Can Dance."
Vampire Burt's Serenade offers a mix of horror, comedy, and social commentary, exploring topics like addiction, fame, and mortality with bloody humor. It's a wild ride that will leave audiences shocked, entertained, and maybe a little bit disturbed.
