Uriyadi 2 is a Tamil language action-thriller film that explores the theme of social justice and political corruption. The film is a sequel to the 2016 movie Uriyadi, which also dealt with issues of communal violence and political corruption.
The story of Uriyadi 2 revolves around Lenin Vijay (played by Vijay Kumar), a young engineering graduate who returns to his hometown after completing his studies. He becomes aware of a chemical plant that is polluting the water in the village and causing health problems to the residents.
Lenin, along with a group of like-minded individuals, decides to raise their voice against the corruption and injustice prevailing in the village. However, their peaceful protests and appeals go unheard, and the situation worsens when a leakage in the plant leads to deaths of several innocent people.
Determined to seek justice for the victims, Lenin and his friends launch a series of protests, which eventually lead to a face-off with the corrupt politicians, police, and government officials. The film showcases the struggles and sacrifices of the young activists who fight for a just cause, even at the risk of their own lives.
