Unrelated is a British drama film that was released in 2007. It was written and directed by Joanna Hogg and stars Kathryn Worth, Tom Hiddleston, and Harry Kershaw. The film follows Anna, a woman in her thirties who is struggling with a failing relationship with her partner Alex. She takes a break from her life and joins a family friend, Verena, and her family on a holiday in Tuscany.
While on holiday, Anna becomes close to the family's teenage son, Oakley, and his group of friends. As the holiday progresses, Anna becomes increasingly detached from Verena's group, however, she becomes more and more drawn to Oakley and his friends who are all much younger than her.
Anna's relationship with Alex becomes strained, and she finds solace in the friendship she has developed with Oakley. However, when Oakley develops feelings for Anna, she is forced to confront her own actions and decisions.
Throughout the film, Anna's personal struggles and her search for happiness and fulfillment are explored. It poses the question, do we ever really know what we want and need from life?
