Surviving the Crash: The United Story

United is a British television film directed by James Strong and written by Chris Chibnall. The film premiered on BBC Two in April 2011 and tells the story of the 1958 Munich Air Disaster, focusing on the experiences of Manchester United's players and staff, as well as the families affected by the tragedy.

The film is divided into two parts, with the first part focusing on the building of the Busby Babes team in the 1950s, their rise to success, and the events leading up to the Munich Air Crash. The second part follows the aftermath of the disaster, including the efforts to rebuild the team and the emotional struggles of the surviving players and their families.

The film features an ensemble cast that includes David Tennant as Manchester United manager Jimmy Murphy, Dougray Scott as legendary manager Sir Matt Busby, Jack O'Connell as rising star Bobby Charlton, Sam Claflin as forward Duncan Edwards, and Dean Andrews as captain of the team, Bill Foulkes.
