The group of friends are a diverse set of individuals, including former soldiers, scientists, and a survivalist. They go on a caving trip in an uncharted area, but things quickly go awry when they encounter the genetically engineered creatures that have been living in the underground caves.
The creatures are extremely agile and vicious predators, with a keen sense of smell and hearing. As the group is hunted one by one, they realize that they are facing an enemy that is far beyond their understanding.
The group must use their skills and wits to survive in the dark and claustrophobic caves, while trying to find a way out. Along the way, they discover a creature that is different from the rest, one that shows signs of intelligence and even empathy.
As the group battles their way through the caves, they must also confront the moral implications of the military's actions in creating these creatures. They begin to question whether what they are doing is right, and whether they should continue to fight for survival or try to find a way to coexist with these creatures.
Tensions rise within the group as they struggle to stay alive and make difficult decisions. Will they be able to outsmart the creatures and make it out alive, or will the creatures prove to be too powerful for them to overcome?
