In the movie Under Suspicion, Henry Hearst (Gene Hackman) is a successful lawyer who is called in by the police to clear up some inconsistencies in his witness report of a brutal murder that occurred in the resort town of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The victim was a young girl who was found dead on the beach, and Henry was one of the last people to see her alive.

Henry agrees to come in for questioning, thinking that it will only take a few minutes. But as the interrogation goes on, the police keep finding more and more loose ends in Henry's story, and his ten-minute interview turns into an all-day affair. The lead investigator, Victor Benezet (Morgan Freeman), is a no-nonsense cop who is determined to get to the bottom of the case, and he starts to suspect that Henry may be withholding information.

As the questioning continues, Henry's nerves start to fray, and he begins to feel like he is being framed for the murder. The tension between him and Victor builds, and the truth about what really happened that night slowly begins to emerge.

Throughout the movie, we see flashbacks of the events leading up to the murder, and the relationship between Henry and his wife Chantal (Monica Bellucci) begins to unravel. As the investigation heats up, Henry and Chantal come under increasing suspicion, and the question of who is telling the truth becomes more and more murky.

Overall, Under Suspicion is a tense and gripping thriller that keeps you guessing until the very end. The performances by Hackman and Freeman are top-notch, and the twist ending will leave you reeling.
