Udaan is a 2010 Indian drama film directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Sanjay Singh, Anurag Kashyap, and Ronnie Screwvala. It stars Rajat Barmecha, Ronit Roy, Aayan Boradia, and Ram Kapoor in pivotal roles. The film was written by Motwane and Anurag Kashyap and was based on Kashyap's own experiences growing up.

The film tells the story of Rohan, who returns home after eight years in boarding school and discovers that he has a younger half brother, Arjun, whom he didn't even know existed. His father, Bhairav, is a rigid and authoritarian man who runs a steel factory and expects Rohan to work there and study engineering against his wishes. Rohan dreams of being a writer but is unable to pursue his passion due to his father's expectations.
