Kara and Tyler have been dating for three years and are planning to get married soon. However, their happiness is threatened when Tyler's ex-girlfriend, Holly, returns from rehab. Holly was a drug addict who Tyler tried to help but eventually had to break up with due to her destructive behavior.
Holly seems to have cleaned up her act and is now working as a therapist. She reaches out to Tyler, apologizing for her past actions and claiming she wants to make amends. Tyler is wary of her but Kara suggests they hear her out. As soon as they agree to meet with Holly, things start to get weird.
Holly quickly becomes obsessed with Tyler, who is clearly still in love with Kara. Holly stalks them, sends Tyler threatening messages and tries to drive a wedge between him and Kara. Kara is terrified of her, but Tyler, who still feels guilty about breaking up with her, wants to help her.
The situation escalates when Holly kidnaps Kara and locks her up in a cabin in the woods. Tyler has to team up with the police to find her before it's too late.
