In "The Theater," the young woman, played by Amy Irving, is shocked as scenes from her past and present are shown on the movie screen, including intimate details of her personal life. As the film continues, she starts to believe that the movie is predicting her future and she becomes determined to change the outcome.

In "Where the Dead Are," the Boston surgeon, played by Patrick Bergin, is searching for a way to help his patients who are dying from a mysterious illness. He seeks the help of a scientist, played by Jeffrey Tambor, who claims to have discovered a cure. However, as they delve deeper into the scientist's experiments, they uncover horrifying truths about the nature of life, death, and the afterlife.

James Earl Jones provides narration throughout the film, as well as introductions and commentary about the two stories. "The Theater" was based on a script that Serling wrote in the 1950s, but was never produced, while "Where the Dead Are" was adapted from a short story that Serling wrote in the 1950s. The film was released in 1994 as part of a revival of "The Twilight Zone" franchise.
