The couple, Samantha and John, are excited to spend their first Christmas Eve together as an engaged couple. They plan a fancy dinner to impress John's wealthy and uptight parents, as well as Samantha's fun-loving and slightly quirky parents. However, their plans quickly take a turn for the worse when they accidentally kill Samantha's ex-boyfriend, who had shown up at their door in a drunken rage.
Panicked, the couple decides to hide the body in their basement to avoid ruining their perfect evening. But as the night goes on, their guests become increasingly suspicious and begin to pry into the couple's strange behavior. To make matters worse, the police arrive to investigate a noise complaint and the couple struggles to keep their cool under pressure.
As the tension mounts and secrets are revealed, the couple must find a way to dispose of the body and save their reputation in front of their families. Will they get away with their crime or will their perfect Christmas Eve turn into a disaster?
