TRON: Legacy is a 2010 American science fiction film directed by Joseph Kosinski. The film is a sequel to the 1982 film TRON, with Jeff Bridges reprising his role as Kevin Flynn. The movie takes place several years after the events of the first film and follows Flynn's son Sam, who is the primary protagonist.
The story begins with Kevin Flynn disappearing without a trace, leaving behind his young son Sam. Twenty years later, Sam receives a signal from his father's old arcade, leading him to investigate and soon finds himself transported to The Grid, the digital world where his father had been lost for two decades. Here, Sam discovers that his father's creation, a program named Clu, has taken over the Grid and is seeking to enter the real world.
As Sam makes his way through the digital realm, he teams up with Quorra, a mysterious program who holds the key to defeating Clu. Along the way, Sam and Quorra encounter a number of allies, including his father's old friend, Tron, and the mysterious Castor, who offers to help the duo find their way to Clu's stronghold.
As they race against time to stop Clu from launching his invasion of the real world, Sam and his new allies must navigate treacherous terrain, battle against dangerous programs, and ultimately confront the very source of the Grid's power, the legendary Creator himself.
TRON: Legacy features stunning visuals and an epic soundtrack by the electronic music duo Daft Punk. The film was a commercial success, grossing over $400 million worldwide, and was widely praised for its inventive world-building and thrilling action sequences.
