Triple Threat is an action-packed thriller film directed by Jesse V. Johnson, which was released in 2019. The movie has an ensemble cast featuring some of the most successful martial arts actors from Asia and Hollywood.
The story revolves around a billionaire's daughter named Xiaoman (played by Celina Jade), who is on a visit to Thailand to attend her grandfather's funeral. However, soon her visit turns into a nightmare when she becomes the target of a ruthless crime syndicate.
The syndicate, led by the notorious Collins (played by Scott Adkins), hires an elite group of assassins to kill Xiaoman. The assassins are a deadly team of warriors consisting of Payu (Tony Jaa), Jaka (Iko Uwais), and Long Fei (Tiger Hu Chen).
The only hope Xiaoman has is a small group of mercenaries led by Devereaux (Michael Jai White), who have been hired to protect her. The team comprises of Collins' former colleague, Payu's friend and fellow cop, and some other skilled fighters.
What follows is an intense battle between the mercenaries and the assassins, as both groups fight to get to Xiaoman. The battle is filled with high-octane action sequences, featuring martial arts, gunfights, and explosions.
Throughout the movie, viewers are treated to some mind-blowing fight scenes that showcase the incredible skills of the actors. It's a movie that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
