Ken is a successful businessman who also happens to be a skilled marksman. He is present at a coffee shop where an armored van robbery takes place. He witnesses one of the robbers holding a police officer hostage and shoots to kill four of the robbers with exactly three bullets, hence the movie's title Triple Tap. One of the robbers, Pang Tao, manages to escape, leaving behind his injured accomplice.
After the incident, Ken is hailed as a hero, but his life takes a sharp turn when Pang Tao starts to stalk and attack him. Ken's girlfriend, who works as a journalist, starts to investigate the story behind the robbery and uncovers some shocking details that implicate Ken in a conspiracy. Meanwhile, Jerry Chang, the detective tasked with investigating the robbery, starts to suspect that Ken might not be as innocent as he claims to be.
As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that there are multiple layers of deception and hidden agendas at play, and nothing is as it seems. Ken and Pang Tao's clash becomes more personal as they reveal a shared past that fuels their bitter feud. Jerry Chang, on the other hand, finds himself increasingly conflicted as he tries to balance his duty as a detective and his personal admiration for Ken.
The climax of the movie is a tense shootout where the truth is finally revealed, and all the characters face the consequences of their actions. In the end, the viewer is left questioning the true nature of right and wrong and the price of ambition and revenge.
