In Tremors: Shrieker Island, a group of wealthy hunters led by a playboy named Travis Welker (played by Jon Heder) pays a large sum of money to a biologist named Dr. Jaspar (Caroline Langrishe) to capture some Graboids and transport them to a private island resort for a once-in-a-lifetime hunting experience. However, things go awry when the Graboids evolve into a deadlier form called Shriekers and start hunting the hunters.
Burt Gummer (Michael Gross), a veteran Graboid hunter, hears about the situation and arrives on the island to help. He teams up with a group of island employees who have a personal vendetta against Welker and his group. Together, they devise a plan to stop the Shriekers and save the island.
Throughout the movie, there are many action-packed scenes involving various weapons and techniques to defeat the Shriekers, including explosive devices and improvised traps. Burt Gummer also brings some of his trademark humor and wit to the movie, providing some comic relief amidst the intense thrills.
Tremors: Shrieker Island is the seventh installment in the Tremors film series, and it was directed by Don Michael Paul. It was released in 2020 and received generally positive reviews from fans of the franchise.
