Trash is a 2014 British thriller film based on the novel of the same name by Andy Mulligan. The story follows three street kids – Raphael, Gardo, and Rat – who live in a trash dump in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. They earn a living by sorting through garbage and selling anything they can find of value.
One day, Raphael discovers a wallet containing a map, a key, and a cryptic message. This wallet belongs to José Angelo, a political prisoner who was tortured by corrupt government officials. Raphael and his friends believe that the items in the wallet may be the key to uncovering a conspiracy and bringing justice to José Angelo.
Their quest for the truth brings them into contact with various dangerous individuals, including corrupt police officers, gangsters, and politicians. Along the way, they face numerous challenges, including evading police surveillance, navigating the dangerous streets of Rio, and deciphering the cryptic message in the wallet.
