Trancers II: The Return of Jack Deth is a 1991 sci-fi action film and a sequel to the 1984 movie Trancers. The film was directed by Charles Band and stars Tim Thomerson, reprising his role as Jack Deth, as well as Helen Hunt, Megan Ward, and Biff Manard.
The plot of the movie revolves around Jack Deth, a time-traveling cop from the future who has traveled back to Los Angeles in the 1990s to stop a group of renegade scientists and their army of zombie-like humans, known as Trancers, from taking over the world. The scientists have discovered a way to turn normal humans into Trancers by controlling their minds, and plan to use them as soldiers in their bid for world domination.
Deth's mission is complicated when his boss, McNulty, sends his first wife, Lena, back from the future to help him. Lena is a tough, no-nonsense woman who knows her way around a laser gun, but her presence creates tension between Deth and his current 20th-century girlfriend, Leena.
As Deth and Lena battle the Trancers and the evil scientists, they must also navigate their complicated personal relationships and come to terms with their feelings for each other. Along the way, they encounter a group of rebels who are fighting against the Trancers and join forces with them to save the future.
