The Lost Children of Trafficking

Trade is a 2007 crime drama film directed by Marco Kreuzpaintner. The movie follows the story of a young Mexican boy named Jorge (Cesar Ramos), whose sister Adriana (Paulina Gaitan) is abducted from the streets of Mexico City and forced into sexual slavery. Meanwhile, a Ukrainian woman named Veronica (Alicja Bachleda-Curus), who was promised a better life in America, is also kidnapped and forced into prostitution.

In Texas, Ray Sheridan (Kevin Kline), a veteran cop, discovers that his own daughter was a victim of human trafficking. Moved by the horrors of the crime, Sheridan makes a resolution to put an end to this vicious trade. When Jorge sneaks into Texas in search of his sister, Sheridan takes him under his wing and helps him track down Adriana. The search for Adriana takes them on a perilous journey from Mexico to New Jersey.
