The movie Tourist Trap is a horror film directed by David Schmoeller and released in 1979. The story follows a group of friends who, while on a road trip, experience car trouble and find themselves stranded at a seemingly abandoned roadside attraction called The Lost Oasis.
There, they meet the friendly and eccentric Mr. Slausen, who offers them shelter and invites them to explore his strange museum of old-fashioned mannequins, which he insists are much more than mere dummies.
As the friends begin to investigate the curious exhibits, they soon discover that the mannequins are not what they seem, and that Mr. Slausen and his brother Davey have much darker and more sinister secrets than they ever could have imagined.
Davey, in particular, is revealed to be a disturbed and dangerous man who has a twisted passion for creating lifelike mannequins using unsuspecting human victims. As the teens begin to disappear one by one, they must find a way to escape from the clutches of Davey and his murderous creations before it's too late.
