Top Gun is a 1986 action drama film directed by Tony Scott and starring Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, and Val Kilmer. The story revolves around Pete "Maverick" Mitchell and his friend Goose, who are both fighter pilots in the United States Navy. With the help of his friends and Charlie, Maverick confronts his fears and learns to overcome his personal demons. He ultimately graduates from the program and goes on to serve as a fighter pilot in combat.
