Hayley is a driven and independent woman who has not had the best luck with men. She is invited to spend Christmas with her sister's new in-laws and is excited at the prospect of a perfect holiday. However, her plans are turned upside down when Luke, the brother of her brother-in-law, unexpectedly shows up.
Hayley harbors a deep grudge against Luke for ending her last relationship. This has caused her to judge Luke harshly, and she is unwilling to spend time with him. Despite her reluctance, she is forced to spend time with him, and she begins to realize that perhaps she had been too quick to judge him.
