In Tom and Jerry: Shiver Me Whiskers, Tom is a member of the crew of Captain Red Pirate and Jerry is a stowaway on the ship. When the crew discovers a treasure map, Tom and Jerry team up to find the treasure. However, they must compete with each other to get to the island before the other.
On the island, they encounter various obstacles, including angry monkeys and a giant octopus. They must also outwit a rival pirate crew led by Captain Black, who is determined to get the treasure for himself.
Throughout their adventure, Tom and Jerry engage in their classic cat-and-mouse hijinks, with Tom constantly trying to catch Jerry but ultimately failing. They also form an unlikely friendship and work together to overcome the challenges they face on the island.
In the end, Tom and Jerry successfully find the treasure, but choose to give it up to save the crew from danger. They return to the ship as heroes, with a newfound respect for each other.
