Tom and Jerry's Enchanted Journey to Oz

Animation,Family,Comedy  United States of America

Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz is a 2011 direct-to-video animated film. It was produced by Warner Bros. Animation and directed by Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone. The film is a retelling of L. Frank Baum's novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, with the famous cat and mouse duo, Tom and Jerry, playing their characteristic roles.

The film begins with Dorothy, voiced by Grey DeLisle, being swept away from Kansas by a tornado and landing in the magical land of Oz. She is accompanied by her dog, Toto, voiced by Frank Welker. In Oz, she meets the Scarecrow, voiced by Rob Paulsen, the Tin Man, voiced by Joe Alaskey, and the Cowardly Lion, voiced by Michael Gough.

Tom and Jerry, who are also swept away from Kansas, meet Dorothy and her companions along the way. The duo provides comic relief to the story, as they find themselves in amusing situations while trying to help Dorothy. They also have to contend with the Wicked Witch of the West, voiced by Frances Conroy, who is determined to stop Dorothy from reaching the Wizard of Oz, voiced by Jeff Bennett.

The film features several songs from the original The Wizard of Oz film, such as "Over The Rainbow", "If I Only Had A Brain", and "We're Off To See The Wizard". In addition to the songs, the film also has colorful animation and stunning visuals that bring Baum's world to life.

Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz was generally well-received by critics, who praised its animation, humor, and faithfulness to the original story. The film also spawned a sequel, Tom and Jerry: Back to Oz, which was released in 2016.
