Tokyo Revengers is a 2021 Japanese live-action adaptation of the manga of the same name by Ken Wakui. The film stars Takumi Kitamura as Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-year-old unemployed man who is given the chance to travel back in time to his middle school years. He discovers that his ex-girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, was murdered by a gang called the Tokyo Manji Gang.
Determined to change the future and save Hinata, Takemichi decides to rise to the top of the Tokyo Manji Gang. He reunites with his former friend, Naoto Tachibana (Hokuto Yoshino), Hinata's younger brother, who works as a detective and has information about the gang. With Naoto’s help, Takemichi sets out to become the leader of the notorious gang and take down the criminal organization from within.
In his journey, Takemichi crosses paths with other gang members, including Draken (Yuki Yamada), the right-hand man of the gang's leader, and Mikey (Ryo Yoshizawa), the gang leader himself. The two become his allies and friends, and he soon finds himself fighting to protect them and their future.
