To the Beat is a 2018 family-friendly dance movie directed by Jillian Clare. The film follows the adventures of 14-year-old dancers and fraternal twins, Mia and Mackie Castillo. Mia and Mackie are competitive dancers who have been passionate about dancing since they were toddlers. Mia loves tap, and Mackie loves jazz. Despite their differing styles, they always support each other in competitions and rehearsals.

The twins' favorite pop star, Baron, launches an online dance competition to discover the most unusual dance crew for his next music video. Mia and Mackie both form their own dance teams, each with a unique theme, to compete for a chance to appear in the music video. As they begin their quest, they enlist the help of their friends and family to secure online votes for their respective teams.

They soon discover that their neighbor and arch-rival, Avery, who is also a talented dancer, is also competing. Avery uses her charm and numerous resources to try and get the upper hand in the contest. As the competition heats up, the girls find themselves learning valuable life lessons about rivalry, teamwork, and the importance of following their passions.
