After Earth is destroyed by the Drej, a man named Joseph Korso reveals to a young man named Cale Tucker that he is the son of the famous scientist who discovered the Titan, a spaceship that holds the key to finding a new home for humanity.
Together with Korso, Cale sets out on a journey to locate the Titan before the Drej can find and destroy it. Along the way, they are joined by a crew of misfit characters including the alien navigator Akima and the sarcastic robot Stith.
As they race against time and evade the relentless pursuit of the Drej, Cale discovers his own inner strength and learns the true importance of hope and survival. Ultimately, he must make a difficult choice that will determine the fate of humanity and the future of the human race.
