Aura is a recent graduate of a film program in Ohio and finds herself at a crossroads in life. She decides to move back to her childhood home in New York City to figure things out and reconnect with her mother and sister. However, her stay is complicated by the realization that her mother is in a new relationship and her sister is still struggling with high school.
Aura becomes increasingly frustrated as she fails to land any film gigs and instead works as a hostess in a restaurant. Her love life is also a mess as she pursues relationships with two men: Keith, a chef at the restaurant, and Jed, a famous but enigmatic Internet personality.
