Timecrimes is a Spanish science-fiction thriller movie released in 2007, written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo. The protagonist of the movie, Hector, played by Karra Elejalde, accidentally time travels back in time nearly an hour while exploring his new house. He sees a beautiful woman undressing through his binoculars and decides to investigate further. While exploring, he gets attacked by a man with a bandage covering his face and runs away to a nearby laboratory where he encounters a scientist who gives him a bandage to cover his face.

Hector then travels back to past and realizes that he is the one with the bandage and he was the attacker. He tries to avoid his previous actions but eventually gets caught up in a series of events that lead to unforeseeable consequences. He tries to correct his mistakes by traveling back a few times, but each attempt creates more problems. Finally, he realizes that he is stuck in a loop, and he has to find a way to break it.

The movie has multiple timelines and twists and turns that keep the audience engaged. The director has cleverly woven the time travel concept with a thriller narrative that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. Timecrimes received critical acclaim for its innovative plot and direction and won several awards at various film festivals.
