Eddy Kay is a watchmaker who starts experiencing vivid nightmares and flashbacks that feel like memories but are not his own. When an attempted murder on his life takes place, Eddy becomes convinced that there is more to his past than he has ever known. He seeks help from psychiatric expert Dr. Anna Nolmar who initially believes that he is hallucinating. But when they are both attacked again, Anna realizes that there is indeed danger surrounding them.
Eddy and Anna go on the run, trying to uncover the truth behind Eddy's past. As they delve deeper into the mystery, they discover a government project that involved implanting memories into people's minds for a new form of virtual reality entertainment. Eddy is one of the victims of the project and has had his past erased and replaced with false memories.
As they race against time, Eddy and Anna must fight off assassins sent by the project's creator and a government agent who wants to keep the truth hidden. In the end, they manage to destroy the project files and Eddy is able to regain his true memories. However, he is left with the haunting realization that his entire life was a fabrication and must now grapple with the consequences of his true identity.
