Heath, a successful country musician, is feeling burnt out and disconnected from his family and roots. He decides to travel to his hometown in Oklahoma for Christmas to reconnect with his family and the memories from his childhood. However, his flight to Oklahoma is delayed due to a snowstorm in Chicago, and he finds himself stranded at the airport.
Cara, a small-town girl from Oklahoma, is also traveling home for Christmas after a recent break-up. She is kind-hearted and loves helping people, so when she sees Heath struggling with his luggage, she offers to help him. Despite their initial awkwardness, they start talking, and Heath is surprised to find that Cara has no idea who he is.
