Tigerland is a 2000 American war drama film directed by Joel Schumacher. The movie revolves around a group of young soldiers who undergo Advanced Infantry Training at Fort Polk's infamous Tigerland before their deployment to Vietnam in 1971.

The movie follows the story of Private Roland Bozz (Colin Farrell), a rebellious and non-conformist soldier who does not want to go to Vietnam. Bozz leads a group of misfit soldiers, including Pvt. Miter (Clifton Collins Jr.) and Pvt. Paxton (Matthew Davis), who share his opinion and do not want to be sent to war.

While in Tigerland, the soldiers face physical and mental challenges from their drill sergeants, who try to shape them into tough and disciplined soldiers. At the same time, Bozz and his team try to maintain their identity and resist the conformist pressure of the military.

Amidst the training, tension builds up between Bozz and another soldier named Wilson (Shea Whigham), who believes in following orders and doing his duty. However, when Wilson is discharged due to a medical condition, Bozz starts to realize the importance of brotherhood and loyalty towards his fellow soldiers.

As the soldiers prepare for their deployment to Vietnam, Bozz tries to convince his teammates to avoid going to war. However, his plans are interrupted when the unit is suddenly assigned to ship out, and the soldiers are faced with the harsh reality of the war.

Tigerland was critically acclaimed for its realistic portrayal of military training and the emotional struggles of young soldiers. The film also marked the breakthrough performance of Colin Farrell, who received widespread praise for his portrayal of Private Bozz.
