Three... Extremes is a 2004 horror anthology film that features three short films directed by three celebrated Asian directors. The first segment, "Dumplings," was directed by Hong Kong filmmaker Fruit Chan and is based on his earlier short film of the same name. The segment is about a former actress, Mrs. Li, who wants to regain her youth and beauty and seeks out a famous dumpling maker. She soon discovers the secret ingredient that makes the dumplings so effective is something far more sinister.

The second segment, "Box," was directed by Japanese auteur Takashi Miike and is a surreal psychological horror story about a young woman who is haunted by a recurring dream of being buried alive in a snowdrift. She later discovers that her sister, whom she thought had died in a fire, is still alive and living in the same house where she had the dream.

The third and final segment, "The Cut," was directed by Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook and is a revenge thriller about a film director who is kidnapped and tortured by a vengeful extra on his set. The extra forces him to endure a series of sadistic games, with the threat of his wife's fingers being chopped off one by one if he doesn't comply.
