"Thrashin'" is a 1986 American skateboarding film directed by David Winters. The movie stars Josh Brolin as Corey Webster, a talented skateboarder who moves from his hometown in the San Fernando Valley to Venice Beach to follow his dream of becoming a professional skater. Corey and his crew of friends are well-intentioned and love nothing more than the freedom of their skateboard.

However, the group runs afoul of the rival Daggers, led by Tommy Hook (played by Robert Rusler), with whom they begin a turf war. Adding fuel to the fire, Corey begins dating Tommy's younger sister Chrissy (played by Pamela Gidley), which further enrages the Daggers.

The two groups decide to settle their feud by participating in the "L.A. Massacre," a lethal skateboard race through a nearby canyon. As the race proceeds, Corey discovers a dark secret about Tommy's past, changing his views on their rivalry, and their friendship is put to the test.

Along with its notable cast, the movie features an impressive soundtrack that includes a range of punk and metal bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Meat Puppets, and Circle Jerks.

Overall, "Thrashin'" is a fun and thrilling movie that captures the spirit and energy of skateboarding in the 1980s.
