War  Canada

Thousand Yard Stare is a drama film that follows a PTSD-stricken soldier named Thomas Cavanaugh, who returns home to his family in small-town America after fighting in Africa during World War II. As he tries to reintegrate into normal life, Cavanaugh finds himself increasingly haunted by the memory of the brutal battle of Kasserine Pass.

Despite the warm welcome he receives from his loving wife and daughter, Cavanaugh struggles to connect with them emotionally and suffers from intense flashbacks and nightmares. His behavior becomes erratic, and he grows increasingly isolated as a result.

As he tries to navigate the confusing landscape of his own mind, Cavanaugh reaches out to a therapist for help, but the road to recovery is long and difficult. With the support of his family and a newfound sense of purpose, he slowly begins to heal from his trauma and learn how to live a fulfilling life once again.

Thousand Yard Stare is a powerful and poignant exploration of the impact of war on soldiers and their families, and the enduring struggles they face long after the fighting has stopped.
