Helena Harris is a popular Hollywood actress who recently broke up with her co-star Roberto Molinez. She decides to take a break from the chaos of Hollywood and arrives in the small town of Stone's Throw to shoot her latest film, also titled “This Magic Moment.” During her stay, she visits the local video store and meets the owner, Clark Gable, who is named after the famous actor. Despite their age difference and different backgrounds, Helena and Clark become good friends and start spending time together.
One day, Helena asks Clark to pretend to be her love interest in order to make Roberto jealous. Clark, who is also an aspiring screenwriter, agrees to Helena's proposition on the condition that she helps him with his screenwriting career. As they start spending even more time together, Clark finds himself attracted to Helena, but at the same time, he is still in love with his ex-girlfriend Emily McIntyre.
As the film's director Doyle Duncan starts to wrap up the production, Helena and Clark's relationship grows stronger, putting him in a difficult position. He is torn between his admiration for the famous beauty, his feelings for Emily, and his own career aspirations. Meanwhile, Helena starts to realize that she has genuine feelings for Clark.
“This Magic Moment” is a lighthearted romantic comedy that tells the story of two people from different worlds who find themselves in an unexpected friendship and the possibility of a happy ending.
