This Is a Hijack is a 1973 action-thriller film directed by Barry Pollack. The plot follows Harry (Adam Roarke), a former soldier turned gambler, who finds himself in overwhelming debt to a shady loan shark named Scranton (George Murdock). Desperate to pay off his debts, Harry learns that his boss, Mr. Douglas (Michael Ontkean), is planning to fly to Los Angeles with a briefcase full of valuable documents.
Seeing an opportunity to redeem himself, Harry decides to hijack the plane and hold Mr. Douglas and the other passengers hostage until he can get his hands on the briefcase. With the help of his accomplice, Chickie (Nancy Telfer), Harry successfully takes control of the plane.
