Bruce Won is a Korean man who arrives in America with the sole purpose of finding an American G.I. who saved his life during the Korean War. However, things quickly spiral out of control when he meets a young orphan boy named Charlie and becomes embroiled in a series of absurd and ridiculous situations.
As they navigate their way through the wacky world of American culture, they encounter a wide range of colorful characters, including a bizarre cult leader and a group of feisty senior citizens. Along the way, they become unwittingly embroiled in a case of mistaken identity that leads a gang of thugs to believe that Bruce is a karate master.
Despite his protests, the gang arranges for a nationally-televised martial arts match, pitting him against a hulking behemoth of a man. Despite his lack of training, Bruce is forced to fight for his life in front of millions of viewers. The ensuing brawl is both hilarious and brutal, culminating in Bruce being beaten to a bloody pulp.
Just when it seems like all is lost, however, Charlie steals the show with a surprise act of heroism that saves the day. In the end, Bruce and Charlie emerge victorious, having learned important lessons about friendship, courage, and the unpredictable nature of life in America.
