In They Call Me Mister Tibbs!, Detective Tibbs is investigating the murder of a prostitute. As he delves deeper into the case, he discovers evidence that points to his own best friend, a respected businessman in the community. Tibbs struggles to reconcile his loyalty to his friend with his duty to solve the crime and bring the killer to justice. Along the way, he faces racism, political corruption, and personal danger, all while trying to unravel the truth behind the murder. As the tension builds to a dramatic climax, Tibbs must confront his own beliefs and biases in order to solve the case and protect those he loves. The film is a sequel to the acclaimed 1967 film, In the Heat of the Night, and stars Sidney Poitier as Detective Tibbs.
