Ángela, a young film student in Madrid, is working on her thesis about violence in movies. She becomes obsessed with finding visual elements that accurately convey brutality. One day, her professor gives her an old videotape containing a snuff movie - a film of someone who was actually murdered. Ángela is profoundly disturbed by the video, but her curiosity and obsession compel her to investigate further.
She enlists the help of a fellow student named Chema, who is an expert on violent movies. Together, they manage to track down the location where the snuff movie was filmed. Upon arriving at the location, they discover that the victim was a former student at the same university where they are studying.
