As the staff of the theater camp tries to keep the operation running smoothly in the absence of their leader, they are forced to confront longstanding issues that have been bubbling beneath the surface. The camp's artistic director, a failed actor with a drinking problem, clashes with the ambitious young counselor who is determined to put on a revolutionary new production. Meanwhile, the camp's financial woes threaten to shut the whole operation down, and the son of the coma-stricken founder must confront his own lack of interest in theater as he learns to appreciate the community his mother has built. As opening night approaches and tensions run high, the team must come together to ensure that the show goes on and the legacy of the beloved founder is preserved.
