Julie and Maddie think they are getting a great deal on the rental home, but they quickly discover that something strange is going on. Maddie hears strange noises in the night and begins to have nightmares. Julie finds a stack of unopened mail addressed to the previous tenant, Lauren, and she begins to investigate.
As they uncover more clues, Julie and Maddie become convinced that Lauren is still living on the property and playing tricks on them. They enlist the help of Charles, the real estate agent, but he is dismissive and tells them they are just being paranoid.
