The World We Make follows the lives of two high school seniors, Lee and Jordan, who are preparing to build a life together. Lee is a passionate equestrian who dreams of competing in national horse shows. Jordan is a star football player and a top-performing student, who is set to attend a prestigious university.
As the two navigate their relationship, they also have to deal with the racial bias and prejudice that exists in their small, predominantly white town. Lee, who is African-American, and Jordan, who is white, are both targeted for their racial backgrounds, leading to tension and conflict in their community.
Despite the challenges they face, Lee and Jordan remain determined to build a life that is free from prejudice and hatred. They join forces with other like-minded individuals in their town to fight against the bigotry and discrimination that threatens to tear their community apart.
