The Wind follows the story of Lizzy Macklin (Caitlin Gerard), a young woman who lives with her husband Isaac (Ashley Zukerman) in a remote cabin on the American frontier. The couple has lived in the area for some time and is used to the harsh and unforgiving conditions of the wilderness. However, when a new couple moves in nearby, Lizzy starts to experience strange and unsettling occurrences.
As the days pass, Lizzy begins to feel more and more isolated from her neighbors and her husband, whose time is taken up by work and other troubles. Slowly, she unravels under the pressure of the harsh conditions, her loneliness, and the increasing sense of unease that something is watching her from the surrounding hills.
As Lizzy tries to hold on to her sanity, she becomes convinced that a sinister force is at work, toying with her and manipulating her every move. The more she tries to escape the clutches of this force, the more it seems to have control over her.
