The Wild is a 2006 animated adventure-comedy film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and directed by Steve "Spaz" Williams. The film tells the story of a group of animals that live in the New York Zoo, including a lion named Samson, a giraffe named Melman, a hippopotamus named Gloria, and a squirrel named Benny.
One day, Samson's son Ryan sneaks onto a shipping crate and ends up being shipped to Africa. Samson, Melman, Gloria, and Benny embark on a journey to Africa to rescue Ryan and bring him back home. Along the way, they meet a variety of other animals, including a pack of wildebeests, a group of flamboyant flamingos, and a trio of laid-back lions.
Their journey is not without its challenges, as they must avoid being caught and eaten by predators, navigate dangerous terrain, and learn to work together despite their differences. Meanwhile, Ryan is having the time of his life in Africa, making new friends and getting into all sorts of wild adventures.
In the end, Samson and his friends successfully rescue Ryan and bring him back to the New York Zoo, where they are welcomed back as heroes. The experience teaches them the value of friendship, teamwork, and the importance of being true to oneself.
