Gwen is a successful event planner whose life takes a turn for the worse when her long-term boyfriend dumps her. In an effort to distract herself from her heartbreak, she offers to help her best friend Molly plan her wedding. Despite her meticulous planning skills, Gwen finds herself struggling to keep up with Molly's demands, particularly when it comes to the wedding's best man, Josh.
Josh is a laid-back nature guide who seems to have no concept of the importance of deadlines and schedules. Gwen is initially infuriated by his lackadaisical approach to the wedding, but as the two of them spend more time together, they begin to develop a mutual respect for each other's different perspectives.
