The movie follows the two drifters, Parker (Ryan Phillippe) and Longbaugh (Benicio Del Toro), as they become involved in a kidnapping plot for a lucrative ransom. They target a surrogate mother, Robin (Juliette Lewis), who is carrying the child of the wealthy and powerful businessman, Hale Chidduck (Scott Wilson).
